Every project starts with a story – what’s yours? Give us a call(to contact us ) and let’s start the conversation. Every design-build project starts with a phone call to learn about you, your home, and what you’re imagining. We’ll schedule an in-home or virtual consultation to learn more and start getting inspired.

At this meeting, we discuss design ideas, the scope of the project, timelines, budget, and process. We also provide an estimated price range of what your project would cost based on our discussion.​

If you decide we are the right team for you, we sign a design agreement and move into the Design Phase.

Design Phase

Step 1: Concept Design

After a design agreement is signed, we begin by reviewing your list of priorities, goals, and dreams for the project. This becomes a guide as we design your project. We will also perform thorough study of your existing property. and required building and zoning codes.

We will draw floor plans of your existing home, and sketch proposed changes to the existing plans. We will also create a scope of work document outlining your project parameters that will give us a very general idea of the scope, time commitment, and the cost of your project.

The result of this step is concept drawings and preliminary scope of work budget based on fact, not guesses. This is not a final estimate, but a good starting point for setting parameters. The final scope of work and budget will be affected by design clarifications during the detailed design phase.

Step 2: Detailed Design

At this stage, we’ll help you to decide on some of the most important details, and we will guide you through the process. This is where the design gets fine-tuned and the details and finishes start to emerge. The design evolves with a discussion of the finishes you would like to use. This is a thorough review of all potential material and selections.

The design drawings will convert into 3D representations of the proposed changes to your house. Interior and exterior renderings will show the finished vision coming to life.

The Itemised Scope of Work and Detailed Budget will reflect the design choices, scale, and other cost drivers in a transparent form that will enable you to make informed decisions.

The result of this step is a clear vision of the project, with a comprehensive, itemized scope of work, and budget.

Once all of the selections and designs are finalized, we’ll present and review the complete budget, drawings, and selections. We will ensure that all proposed designs will be in conformity to all local building code requirements.

Step 3: Agreement Documents

This is where it all comes together! Permit and construction drawings are completed. All client selections are finalized and documented.

A trade day is completed where we revisit the house with suppliers and trade partners to review their work and provide final cost estimates. This is also an opportunity to perform in depth analysis of your homes’s system and provide recommendations for upgrades if needed.

At the end of this step, the teamwork of our designers, estimator, production team and trade partners result in a plan that we all can follow and build with confidence.

Construction Phase: KICKING THINGS OFF

We’ll hold a Pre-Construction Meeting to discuss logistics and expectations with you prior to starting construction on your project.

Once work has started, you can expect our Friday Updates from your Project Manager, respectful craftsmen who leave the work area clean, and regular quality inspections. Our goal is to make your project easy, with proactive updates and minimal interruptions to your life. Stay on top of the project progress through our dedicated client portal which allows you to see the schedule, get photo and video updates, submit change order requests, and make material selections. All of this done on-time and on the agreed budget!

Your project ends with a final inspection walk through making sure everything is done and complete.

Project Finalization & Warranty: Enjoy

When construction is complete, we will have a final walk-through with you to show you all the ins-and-outs of your beautiful new home. All you have to do is relax and enjoy your new space!

We would like to express that we stand behind our work and take pride in knowing you will enjoy your home by giving you a peace of mind with our 1-year installation warranty.
